CTC GmbH in Stade is a 100% Airbus subsidiary. Primarily, at CTC, innovative technologies for the (highly-) automated processing of CFRP are developed. The focus is therefore in the field of applied research for primary aircraft structures. But CTC also develops -in the context of technology development and consulting projects- for other industries such as automotive and wind energy to promote an increase in know-how in both directions. The aim of CTC is to develop methods, machinery, tools and systems for the mass production of composite parts under economic conditions. To fulfil this task, CTC is closely linked with Airbus and other leading companies in the CFRP industry. This ensures that Airbus‘s leading position in the field of composites may continue to expand into the future.

Competence Description:

The core competencies of the CTC are divided into four areas of activity: In the development division, advanced manufacturing processes are developed and requirements on product system design are derived. The division for production systems develops - on the basis of latest technologies- the manufacturing systems for composites. A major emphasis here is on the design of jigs and tools. Serial maturity mainly deals with test components in accordance with aviation requirements. Our production division covers the full range; from demonstrators, to the pre-series production of fibre composites.
