Innovation Day Belgium: Thermoplastics technology: Hype or hope for the composite industry?
Thermoplatics technology: Hype or hope for the composite industry?
The share of thermoplastics in the composite industry is growing fast. The glass mat reinforced thermoplastics (GMT) and long fibre reinforced thermoplastics (LFT) continue to be by far the fastest growing segment of the GRP market with growth of over 6 % in 2016. In Europe, it represents today a volume of 140.000T. If we add to that the 1.3 millions tons of short fiber reinforced thermoplastics we can consider that this sector is very important for our industry. But what are the opportunities related to this sector? How can you start with the thermoplastic technologies? ... On 14th of June 2017, the innovation day of CFK Valley will try to answer those questions.
